The American newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" spoke about a possible deal between Israel and "Hezbollah" once fighting in Gaza comes to a halt. The newspaper quoted American and Israeli officials as saying, "We hope to reach an agreement with (Hezbollah) that will see them retreating from the border with Israel as soon as the fighting in Gaza stops." According to the officials, "this deal could involve (Hezbollah) moving its forces as far as 10 miles (approximately 16 km) north of the border, with the Lebanese army filling the gap." It was reported by the Israeli broadcasting agency today, Monday, that "the Israeli army has conducted exercises in recent weeks simulating a war on Lebanese territory."
