Residents in a village in Borno State - northern Nigeria, reported on Monday that "Islamic militants beheaded at least ten farmers after attacking their farms." Farmer Abubakar Masta, who survived the attack, stated that "armed militants attacked their farms in Kawuri village, riding motorcycles." Residents have accused the extremist group Boko Haram of carrying out the attack. Last week, militants killed at least 25 people and injured others in attacks on two villages in Borno State, where extremist groups are active and violence is prevalent.
