Escalation of Battles in Gaza as Israeli Army Advances in Al-Zeitoun Neighborhood

Israeli forces continue their military operations in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, where they are facing fierce resistance from local Palestinian factions, particularly Hamas. A field commander from Al-Zeitoun reported that clashes are concentrated around the Badr Mosque and the agency clinic, noting the destruction of several Israeli vehicles, as well as the targeting of the advancing forces with 60mm mortar shells. The Israeli forces are employing various types of weaponry in their assault, with ground troops supported by air power, particularly Apache helicopters and drones. Meanwhile, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, confirmed their involvement in intense fighting with the invading occupation forces in the southern part of Al-Zeitoun, southeast of Gaza City. Additionally, Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, targeted an Israeli military vehicle with an RPG shell in the vicinity of the Al-Zeitoun clinic.
