Spanish star Sergio Ramos' home was robbed last week while he was playing a match between Sevilla and Lens in the UEFA Champions League. Sergio fell victim to the burglary in the Poligono de la Mitación area, as thieves broke into his house while his four children were inside, and his wife was out when the robbery occurred.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," the incident took place last Wednesday, September 20, during the match between Sevilla and Lens in the Champions League. The newspaper reported that "the thieves attacked the family's home, with the four children and their nanny inside, and according to investigations, neither the children nor the nanny were harmed during the robbery."
The stolen items included luxury watches, jewelry, designer clothing, and cash that the couple had in their home, with investigations into the crime currently being conducted by the police.
Sergio Ramos had previously been robbed at his home in Madrid in 2012 when he was in the house in the Conde Orgaz neighborhood. He witnessed two individuals breaking into his home while he was with his brother Rene.
Ramos joins a group of Sevilla players who have previously experienced burglaries, including Mexican Javier Hernandez "Chicharito" in 2019 while he was playing in the Seville derby against Real Betis, and Brazilian Suso the following year, while he was playing in the Europa League final.
It is worth noting that 37-year-old Sergio Ramos returned to Sevilla this summer after 18 years since leaving for Real Madrid, followed by Paris Saint-Germain, where he played for two seasons from 2021 to 2023.
