The discussions addressed the bilateral relations between the two countries and how to enhance them, reflecting the deep historical ties between the Syrian and Emirati peoples. The talks also covered the positive developments occurring in the region and the importance of building on these developments to achieve stability for its countries and peoples, who seek more safety and prosperity. Additionally, the discussions touched upon economic cooperation between the two nations.

President Assad considered the positions of the UAE to be always rational and ethical, stating that its role in the Middle East is a positive and effective one in ensuring strong relations among Arab countries. He emphasized that this role aligns with Syria's vision of reinforcing bilateral relationships between Arab states, ultimately leading to joint Arab action, which logically reflects the shared interests of these countries and their peoples.

The Syrian president also stressed that discord and severing relations is an incorrect principle in politics, asserting that it is natural for relations between Arab countries to be sound and fraternal. President Assad thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the UAE government, and the Emirati people for their support to the Syrian people in facing the aftermath of the earthquake, describing the humanitarian role of the UAE in assisting Syria as effective and filled with genuine love and pure fraternal enthusiasm, which significantly alleviated the earthquake's impacts on those affected in Syria. He noted that despite the immense pain caused by this disaster, the broad solidarity and support received from their Arab brothers had a considerable effect in easing their suffering.

For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed affirmed that the United Arab Emirates stands with Syria wholeheartedly and will continue to show solidarity and support for the Syrian people in light of the war and the earthquake, providing various types of assistance to bolster the efforts of the Syrian government in this regard. He also stressed the importance of Syria's return to its Arab surroundings, building bridges, and strengthening relations between all Arab states for the benefit and welfare of their peoples. Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed acknowledged the Syrian community in the UAE, considering that it has made a special and positive mark in building the UAE and contributing to its economic growth.
