Eating Seafood Increases Stress Resistance

Dr. Mikhail Ginsburg, a Russian nutrition expert, announced that seafood contains Omega-3, one of the crucial micronutrients needed for the brain to function normally.

In an interview with the Russian news agency TASS, the expert indicates that seafood enhances human resistance to stress due to its high content of Omega-3 fatty acids. He states, "We can make a person more resilient to stress by having them consume foods, and more specifically, the micronutrients that the brain requires to function properly. The primary micronutrient for this purpose is Omega-3, found in seafood. Plant-based Omega-3 fatty acids, present in canola oil, can also be used by taking these acids as a dietary supplement."

The expert points out that Omega-6 acids, commonly found in sunflower and corn oil as well as sweets, are frequently used in the daily diet. However, excessive consumption of these products increases anxiety levels. He says, "If we want to be more resistant to stress, it is better for us to at least replace sunflower oil in our daily diet with olive oil or coconut oil."
