A Syrian military source reported that several individuals lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike targeting sites around the city of Aleppo. The source stated that the Israeli attack also caused some material losses. Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights indicated that at least 12 people were killed due to the Israeli strike in rural Aleppo in northern Syria. The observatory reported that "strong and successive unidentified explosions were heard in the town of Hayyan in northern Aleppo countryside, resulting from an unknown missile attack on a copper factory, where Iranian militias of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities control the town. Ambulances and firefighting teams rushed to the area to extinguish the fires and transport the injured." It added that the explosions coincided with heavy explosive volcanic rocket shelling launched from western Aleppo countryside targeting positions of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and factions in Kafr Amma and Nuran in western Aleppo countryside.
