Central Drug Enforcement Office Arrests Traffickers

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement today, Wednesday: "As a result of the daily monitoring conducted by the specialized units in the Internal Security Forces to curb drug trafficking operations in various Lebanese regions, the Central Drug Enforcement Office in the Judicial Police Unit received information about the activities of a trafficker in the Airport Road area.

Through investigations and surveillance, the officers of this office were able to identify the individual's identity, named: H. M. (born in 1995, Lebanese). On February 16, 2024, after careful observation, a joint force from the aforementioned office and the Special Group in the Judicial Police Unit executed a meticulous ambush, resulting in his arrest while he was in a "Nissan" vehicle, which was seized along with another individual named: A. M. (born in 1997, Lebanese).

Upon searching the vehicle, a quantity of drugs was discovered inside, divided and prepared for trafficking, consisting of: 40 envelopes of cocaine, a quantity of crystal meth, and hashish, along with cash proceeds from drug sales. Investigations are ongoing under the supervision of the relevant judiciary."
