Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, published a video on his Telegram page congratulating citizens on Russia Day, which features a map of the country that includes Ukraine within Russian borders. The video plays the Russian national anthem and shows a map of Russia from the Far East to its western borders, with Ukraine included up to its border with Poland. This action by Medvedev comes a day after the Russian Defense Ministry announced the capture of two new towns and reported the deaths of over 1,800 Ukrainian soldiers in the preceding 24 hours.
