For the first time, Egyptian artist Ahmed Fahmy appeared after his separation from his wife Hena El-Zahed, following a four-year marriage, to clarify the speculation surrounding their relationship. Fahmy appeared in an interview with media personality Anas Boukhsh, discussing various topics, most notably his separation from Hena El-Zahed and his multiple marriages, having been married three times before.
Fahmy talked generally about divorce, emphasizing that it is a simple matter for him, which surprises some. However, due to his experience with his parents' separation as well as his uncle and aunt's, he perceives the situation differently, basing his views on logic. He remarked, “The phrase ‘the house is ruined with divorce’ is an ignorant statement,” considering that the well-being of a home may fundamentally depend on separation.
Regarding his separation from Hena El-Zahed and who was at fault, Fahmy stated, “Surely the fault would be mine,” indicating that when he enters any experience, he does not consider the possibility of divorce. However, circumstances can lead to that outcome.
He also discussed some of his marriages without naming his ex-wives, mentioning that after separating from one of them, it was a very civilized process, and they still maintain their friendship.
Additionally, he revealed a surprising incident related to one of his marriages, where he woke up one day and found his wife missing from his side. When he went upstairs to tease her, she shocked him by saying, "Fahmy, don’t pretend... you’re not happy." They discussed her desires, including whether she wanted to have children, but she was not enthusiastic. He then asked her, “Shall we get divorced?” to which she quickly agreed, causing astonishment among those around them.
