Sisi from Beijing: We Call on the International Community to Fulfill Its Responsibilities and Stop the War in Gaza

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi today called on the international community to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities to stop the war and allow aid to enter Gaza, as well as to address attempts at the forced displacement of Palestinians. In his speech during the opening session of the tenth "Arab/Chinese" forum in Beijing, which was reported by "Russia Today," Sisi highlighted the significant Arab appreciation for Chinese policies regarding the Palestinian issue and Beijing's continued support for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the Palestinians' legitimate right to establish their independent state. He urged "active parties in the international community to undertake their moral and legal responsibilities to stop the barbaric Israeli war," and called for the international community to work without delay on the immediate and sustainable enforcement of humanitarian aid to Gaza to end the Israeli blockade and counter all attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land. He reiterated that "there is no way to achieve the desired peace and regional and international stability except through a comprehensive addressing of the roots of the Palestinian issue, which requires a serious and immediate commitment to the two-state solution and recognition of the Palestinians' legitimate right to their independent state."
