The Council of Ministers is scheduled to hold a session at 3 PM next Friday, with the agenda to be distributed later.
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a consultative meeting with the ministers this afternoon at the Grand Serail to discuss current issues.
Participating in the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh Al Shami, Minister of Education and Higher Education Abbas Al-Halabi, Minister of Information Ziad Makari, Minister of Justice Henry Khoury, Minister of Youth and Sports George Kallas, Minister of National Defense Maurice Slim, Minister of Displaced Persons Issam Sharaf El-Din, Minister of Finance Youssef Khalil, Minister of State for Administrative Development Najla Riachi, Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar, Minister of Industry George Bouchikian, Minister of Communications Johnny Corm, Minister of Tourism Walid Nassar, Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi, Minister of Culture Mohammad Wissam Mortada, Minister of Environment Nasser Yassin, Minister of Agriculture Abbas Al-Haj Hasan, Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamieh, and Minister of Economy and Trade Amin Salam.
The Director-General of the Presidency Antoine Chuqair and the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahmoud Makieh also participated.
