Xavi Hernandez, former coach of Barcelona, is planning to work in the English Premier League. Barcelona's management unexpectedly dismissed Xavi a few weeks ago, despite having announced that he would remain for the upcoming season earlier. According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," Xavi has received numerous calls in recent weeks regarding a new coaching opportunity.
It was noted that Xavi is still determined to stay away from coaching for a while, planning to take a year off to relieve the pressures he faced over the past two and a half years and to recharge his energy. Sources close to Xavi revealed that he aims to work in the Premier League upon his return to coaching.
Additionally, it was mentioned that Xavi has a good and calm relationship with Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, as the coach relinquished his salary for the upcoming season, amounting to 11 million euros, but he has not waived the 2.5 million euros he paid upfront in 2021 to cover half the value of his contract termination with Qatari club Al-Sadd.
Furthermore, Xavi requested that the management of Barcelona ensure that his coaching staff members receive what was agreed upon in their contracts until 2025, following his dismissal.
