The Abu Dhabi Weightlifting Club announced today, Monday, the inclusion of 36 talented students from "Jarn Yafour" School in Bani Yas to officially join their training at the club under the supervision of the coaching staff, as part of the partnership between the club and the school. The new players were selected through competitions held for 130 students, resulting in the final selection of 36 students.
Abdullah Issa Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, confirmed that "this step aligns with the club's strategic goals focused on building a foundation of young athletes, in addition to attracting distinguished players for the first team." He added that "the recruitment of this group after a series of training sessions at the school, supervised by the club’s coaching staff, represents the beginning of developing a base of talents and nurturing them, to be capable of achieving successes for both the club and the national team."
Al Zaabi emphasized that "the club will utilize all its resources to develop these talents, while also continuing to attract larger numbers of students from the school by maintaining ongoing training for other groups wishing to train in the sport." He explained that "the club has ambitious plans to establish partnerships with other schools to promote the sport and attract talented individuals from those institutions."
