Appointment of Acting Director for the U.S. Secret Service

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, announced the appointment of Ronald Ro, the Deputy Director of the Secret Service, as the Acting Director of the agency following the resignation of the U.S. Secret Service Director, Kimberly Cheatle, amid the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. President Joe Biden stated that he plans to appoint a new director for the Secret Service soon.
