Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus has postponed his decision regarding the future of one of الهلال's stars before the start of the new season. According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadah," Jesus has decided to delay the determination of Brazilian Michel Delgado's future until he assesses the results of Brazilian superstar Neymar da Silva’s rehabilitation program, as he recovers from a torn cruciate ligament and meniscus.
The newspaper indicated that Jesus is waiting to understand Neymar's ability to participate with الهلال in the early months of the upcoming season. It was clarified that Jesus will monitor Neymar's condition during the team's summer training camp, which begins in mid-July in Austria.
The report stated that if it becomes difficult for the Brazilian national team captain to participate in the early months of the season, الهلال will keep Delgado on the roster until the end of his contract in early 2025, with the plan to release him during the upcoming winter transfer window to make room for Neymar's re-registration.
