Arrest of the Assailant of a Soldier

The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance announced the following in a statement: On June 17, 2024, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence detained the citizen (A.A.) in the Al-Abda area of Akkar for attacking one of the soldiers while he was in military uniform. An investigation has begun with the detainee under the supervision of the relevant judiciary. It is noteworthy that four individuals had assaulted a soldier in the Lebanese army following an argument between them, resulting in the soldier being transported to Al-Khair Hospital in Meniyeh due to severe injuries from being beaten with sticks at the Al-Abda roundabout in Akkar, while the assailants fled to an unknown location. According to sources, the soldier is from the town of Sheikh Zanad in Akkar.
