"Magic Works and Talismans" in a Famous District of Khartoum

While cleaning their homes amid the ongoing war, many families in the Al-Abbasiya neighborhood of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, discovered magic works, spells, talismans, and tied bones. In detail, one resident of the neighborhood told "Al-Arabiya.net" that they are from the Al-Abbasiya area, opposite the "Marfin Al-Fuqara" mosque. Three days ago, they returned to clean their home, and while occupied with their work, they found a pile of bones tied together, in addition to talismans and strange symbols written on pieces of paper beneath the furniture.

He added, "I couldn't believe what I saw, and immediately contacted my family members and friends to inform them of what I found." Another resident in the neighborhood confirmed finding strange symbols written on pieces of paper under his furniture. He stated, "In light of the deteriorating security situation, it is expected that the Rapid Support Forces are behind these acts to instill fear and anxiety among the residents who are suffering from the pressures of the ongoing war. But this does not scare us, and we will remain steadfast in our homes."

On the other hand, the neighborhood's residents urged the relevant authorities to investigate the matter, collect evidence, and examine the discovered materials to ascertain their nature and source. They added that these activities are closely tied to attempts to harm or intimidate the residents. It is noteworthy that Al-Abbasiya is a historic neighborhood located in the western part of the Sudanese capital Khartoum and is part of the city of Omdurman, one of the three cities that make up the Sudanese capital.
