Israeli forces advanced into multiple regions in southern Syria on Friday, conducting raids, searches, and setting up military checkpoints in the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa, according to the Syrian news channel, "Al-Ikhbariyah."
The channel reported that an Israeli force advanced into the village of Umm Batna in the central countryside of Quneitra, spreading throughout the village before establishing a checkpoint to screen passersby.
In northern Quneitra, Israeli troops reportedly raided a home during their incursion into the village of Taranga and conducted internal searches, as per the same source.
Further Incursions in Daraa
Israeli activities extended to western Daraa, where "Al-Ikhbariyah" reported that several military vehicles accompanied by infantry advanced into the area between the villages of Abidin and Maarabe in the Yarmouk Basin.
Here, Israeli forces established a military checkpoint and searched several homes. No arrests were reported during the operation.
Regions in Quneitra and Daraa Provinces are witnessing frequent Israeli incursions, which involve raids, searches, and the establishment of checkpoints and military movements in southern Syrian towns and villages.
These actions are considered by Damascus as violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and an infringement on Syrian sovereignty. The Syrian government demands the withdrawal of Israeli forces from these areas and urges respect for Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The recent activities come amid ongoing tensions in southern Syria due to the Israeli military presence and its movements near the Golan Heights, with repeated Syrian calls for an end to these incursions and a full withdrawal from Syrian territories.
