The Hamas movement revealed that "the atrocities exposed by the terrorist occupation’s retreat from Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood are war crimes, genocide, and ethnic cleansing." It stated, "Setting fire to populated buildings and preventing the Civil Defense from accessing them in Tel Al-Hawa confirms that the occupation has committed massacres and atrocities." Hamas emphasized that "the United Nations, the international community, and international courts must stop the genocide and the horrific crimes of the occupation." The Israeli army withdrew this Friday morning from areas in Tel Al-Hawa and Industry Street in Gaza City after a military operation lasting 7 days, while the Civil Defense headed to the areas they had withdrawn from to recover bodies. Mahmoud Bsal, a spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, reported that the number of victims in the Tel Al-Hawa and Industry Street area reached approximately 60 martyrs following the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
