Bassil: The Discussion with

The head of the "Free Patriotic Movement," MP Jebran Bassil, confirmed that dialogue must be tied to a specific agenda and timeframe, so it does not become a waste of time, noting that the movement is in communication "with most parties, if not all."

After a meeting of the political council within the "movement," Bassil revealed that "recently, a meeting was held with the convergence team, so we do not remain in a position of proposing one candidate against another without an agreement on a vision." He expressed hope that dialogue would not be interrupted, stating that the invitation is open and ongoing.

He pointed out that the topics being discussed with "Hezbollah" do not involve retreat, concession, deal, or twist, "but rather political work." He highlighted that he discussed with "Hezbollah" the credit fund, expanded decentralization, and a preliminary work program for the next president.

Bassil remarked that there can be no election of a president without understanding, stating, "We count on Lebanese-Lebanese dialogue, and from the beginning, we said that the program is the basis for understanding."
