Biden and King Abdullah Discuss Efforts for a Ceasefire in Gaza

The White House stated in a release that "Biden informed King Abdullah about the preparations to increase humanitarian aid during the ceasefire period." They also discussed the reform of the Palestinian Authority in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and ensuring it receives its due revenues. The Jordanian royal court stated that King Abdullah and Biden talked about "the serious developments in Gaza." The Jordanian monarch "reemphasized the importance of the United States' role in finding a political horizon for achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution."
