10 German Stadiums Hosting

Ten major German stadiums are prepared to host matches for the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship "Euro 2024", which will take place from June 14 to July 14, featuring 24 teams. This marks only the second time in the tournament's history that it will be held in Germany, the first being 36 years ago in 1988 during the eighth edition of the tournament, which saw participation from eight teams across eight stadiums.

Germany has selected ten stadiums in ten cities across seven of its sixteen states, with a total capacity exceeding half a million spectators (564,631). The seating capacities range from a maximum of 74,000 to a minimum of 46,000 in the ten venues.

The list of stadiums includes the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, the oldest and largest stadium in Germany, owned by Hertha Berlin, with a capacity of 74,475 spectators. The Allianz Arena, home to Bayern Munich, can accommodate 70,000, while the Signal Iduna Park, the historic ground of Borussia Dortmund, holds 66,099 spectators.

Also included are Stuttgart Arena, which hosted matches in the World Cups of 1974 and 2006 and Euro 1988, serving as the main stadium for VfB Stuttgart with a capacity of 54,812; and Veltins-Arena, a modern multifunctional stadium opened in 2001, home to Schalke, with a capacity of 54,740.

In sixth place is Volksparkstadion, home to Hamburg, with 51,500 seats, followed by Düsseldorf Arena, home to Fortuna Düsseldorf, which also accommodates 51,500 spectators.

The list continues with Frankfurt Arena, built in 1925 and home to Eintracht Frankfurt, which has a capacity of 48,000; the Red Bull Arena, home to RB Leipzig, with a capacity of 47,069; and finally, RheinEnergieStadion, home to Köln, with a capacity of 46,244 spectators.
