The Rafah border crossing in North Sinai received 37 injured individuals and patients, along with 97 Palestinian companions from the Gaza Strip for treatment in Egyptian hospitals. A medical source in North Sinai indicated that 26 injured and patients, including 11 cancer patients from "Al-Aqsa, European, Al-Najjar, and Turkish Friendship" hospitals, were received for treatment in "Arish General, Sheikh Zuweid, Hayat in Port Foad, Kafr El-Sheikh Oncology Hospital, Assiut University, Health Insurance in Fouh, 15 May in Cairo, and the Emirates Hospital," in addition to their 97 companions.
The source noted that the injuries of the Palestinians varied between fractures, wounds, burns, amputations, eye injuries, heart diseases, congenital defects, asthma, paralysis, joint stiffness, seizures, and cancers.
The source also confirmed the reception of 387 Palestinians who hold residency in Egypt and several Arab and foreign countries, along with 35 individuals holding foreign passports and 80 individuals holding Egyptian passports.
Furthermore, since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip, Egypt has received more than 4,000 injured and sick individuals from Gaza for treatment in Egyptian hospitals and several sisterly and friendly countries, accompanied by approximately 6,000 companions, in addition to 29,000 individuals crossing, including Palestinians, foreign nationals, and those with dual citizenship, and around 6,000 Egyptians stranded in the strip.
