Sudani and Mawlawi Stress the Need for Cooperation Between the Two Countries

Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' Sudani and Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi emphasized the necessity of cooperation in recovering funds and fugitives wanted by Iraqi justice. The media office of Sudani stated in a statement that he "received the Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, and during the meeting, they discussed security cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon on all files, particularly those related to transnational crime, and the need for intelligence coordination to address security challenges, in addition to cooperation in the recovery of funds and individuals wanted by Iraqi justice in security cases or corruption files." The meeting also reviewed Lebanon's participation in the Second Baghdad International Conference on Drug Control and the importance of enhancing joint efforts to combat this epidemic, which threatens the security of all countries in the region and their communities.
