The center stated in a post on the "X" platform: "The crescent moon of Muharram 1446 AH was photographed on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from Abu Dhabi by the Al Khateem Astronomical Observatory at 15:00 UAE time." It added: "The distance of the moon from the sun is 7.4 degrees. The age of the lunar surface is 12.9 hours. The crescent is difficult to see due to the cloudy and dusty weather."
