A Spanish sports report stated that Barcelona management has informed Joshua Kimmich, the star of Bayern Munich, about their final decision regarding his signing. Kimmich's name has been strongly linked to Barcelona in recent months to bolster the holding midfielder position. According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," Kimmich is no longer an option for Barcelona in the current summer transfer market.
The newspaper added, "Bayern Munich is asking for €50 million for an immediate sale, and with the player's high salary demands, a decision has been made to remove the German player from the signing plans. Barcelona officials have already informed Kimmich that they will not attempt to sign him this summer."
The report indicated that Barcelona is prepared to make an effort to pursue him in 2025 if he does not renew his contract with Bayern before his current contract expires at the end of next season. The newspaper concluded, "It makes perfect sense for Barcelona to postpone the signing of Kimmich for now. Simply put, they cannot afford him at this moment, and if they manage to sign him as a free agent next summer, it would be an amazing deal."
