Massive Fire Consumes Clothing Shops in Egypt

A devastating fire engulfed several clothing shops in the city of Benha, located in Qalyubia Governorate, northern Egypt, resulting in millions in losses without any injuries or fatalities. Egyptian authorities received reports of a fire breaking out at multiple clothing shops in front of the Benha public transportation station, prompting the dispatch of 8 firefighting vehicles to control the flames and prevent their spread to nearby areas.

The Public Prosecution ordered the assignment of the forensic laboratory to determine the cause of the fire, assess the damages, and form a committee from the Benha City Council to investigate the details and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Meanwhile, Qalyubia Governor, Engineer Ayman Attia, visited the site of the fire to review the situation and reassure the affected shop owners. The governor directed the formation of a committee from the General Administration of Civil Protection, the Social Solidarity Ministry, and the City Council to investigate the fire's causes and also called for appropriate compensation for the affected shop owners after evaluating the losses.
