100 Million Euros Settles Departure of Barcelona Star

A Spanish press report stated today, Wednesday, that Barcelona has no objection to selling one of its stars, but with just one condition. This concerns Uruguayan Ronald Araújo, the Barcelona defender, who has been linked with a departure from the club this summer due to interest from several teams in securing his services. According to "Mundo Deportivo," Araújo's contract with Barcelona extends for two more seasons and contains a release clause worth one billion euros.

The newspaper added that Barcelona considers Araújo an essential player for the team and has no intention of considering his sale. Araújo had previously declined to confirm his stay at Barcelona during a press statement while with his national team at the Copa América. He said, "I am fully focused on the Copa América," which raised doubts among Barcelona fans.

The newspaper clarified that if Araújo wants to leave, he must inform Barcelona officials and bring a substantial financial offer. This offer should exceed 100 million euros, aligning with what Chelsea paid for players like Moisés Caicedo (133 million) or Enzo Fernández (121 million). Araújo is reportedly a target for Chelsea, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich according to various press reports.
