Social media users have circulated a video they claim is the last of the young man Walid Al-Mutairi, one of the deceased in the car accident involving Kuwaiti fashionista Fatima Al-Mu'min, who collided with a vehicle he was in along with others. The clip shows Al-Mutairi, who passed away on Wednesday evening, wearing a black jacket with English phrases and a hat next to a black car, engaging in conversation with a person not visible in the frame. Kuwaiti media figure Fahd Al-Salama posted on his platform "X": "We all believe in God's decree and destiny, and whoever does not thank people... does not thank God. Thanks to those who fulfilled their duty of offering condolences for our dear (my nephew) Walid Jassim Mohammed Al-Mutairi and his companions, may God have mercy on them all, whether within Kuwait or outside it." He added: "We ask God for the full recovery of their fourth companion, who is currently in the intensive care unit, and to prevent this incident from recurring due to recklessness and risking people's lives. We hope that justice will take its course in accordance with the law and that there will be no interference in the investigation. Anyone attempting to circumvent this will be held accountable before God Almighty." He continued: "We commend the efforts and instructions of His Excellency the Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Sabah and everyone who fulfilled their duty regarding this painful tragedy that has shaken the conscience of Kuwaiti society."
The accident caused by Al-Mu'min in Kuwait was due to her running a red light, resulting in a collision with another vehicle, leading to the deaths of three individuals onboard: "Walid Jassim Mohammed Al-Mutairi," "Yusuf Badr Al-Ka'ami," and the name of the third victim has not been disclosed. The police subjected Al-Mu'min to a blood test, which revealed that she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol while driving. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced that it was decided to "detain the accused for 10 days pending investigation and transfer her to the central prison, preparing to refer her to the competent court, while releasing the companion of the driver." The Public Prosecution rejected the bail request.
Ten charges were filed against Al-Mu'min, including "manslaughter, accidental injury, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding the maximum speed limit, running a red light, reckless driving, driving a vehicle with an expired insurance policy, driving a vehicle without carrying a vehicle registration license, causing damage to others' property, and causing damage to public property."
