Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed the circumstances of the incident according to eyewitnesses who said that Mounir Nasraoui, Lamine's father, was walking in the Rocafonda neighborhood when someone threw water on him from a balcony. Following that, Mounir got involved in a brawl after the water was thrown at him and was stabbed shortly before the police arrived. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the person who stabbed Mounir resembled the individual who threw water on him from the balcony.
Media reports also indicated that the father of the Barcelona star left the hospital Thursday morning and that his condition is not serious.
