A high-level Russian delegation led by Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has arrived in Tehran at the official invitation of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Akbar Ahmadian to continue strategic cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation. Shoigu will also meet with Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian, the Chief of Staff, and the National Security Council Secretary. This trip aims to enhance interactions and discuss regional and international issues as well as bilateral political-security relations. The discussions will also address the serious developments taking place in the region and ways to alleviate tensions.
