Washington Confirms Destruction of Rocket Launch Platforms After

The Houthis in Yemen announced their targeting of the ship "Tutur" in the Red Sea, citing what they described as a "violation of the ban on entering Palestinian ports." The U.S. military reported that Western forces successfully destroyed three cruise missile launch platforms aimed at ships in an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen, along with a drone system that was launched from that same area.

This action was stated to be a response to a drone boat launched by the Houthis that struck the ship Tutur in the Red Sea, causing damage to its engine room. The statement also characterized this behavior, described as "malicious and reckless," by the Iranian-backed Houthis as a threat to regional stability and a risk to the lives of sailors in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

It is worth noting that Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the Houthi group, announced that the operation resulted in significant damage to the ship, which is at risk of sinking. He added that the ship "Tutur" was targeted because it was heading to Israeli ports. The Houthi group also announced the execution of two military operations with Iraqi factions, during which they struck two targets in Ashdod and Haifa in Israel.
