Harris's First Loss Against Trump

Newsweek magazine published the results of the first opinion poll conducted after U.S. President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race, showing Republican candidate Donald Trump leading over Vice President Kamala Harris. According to the magazine, two political polls indicated that Harris would lose to Trump if elected as the Democratic nominee.

The first poll, conducted by On Point Politics and Social Research, indicated that 51% of respondents preferred voting for Trump, while Harris received 43% of the votes, and 6% expressed no confidence in either candidate. This poll was conducted on July 21 among 800 potential American voters, with a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.

The second poll, conducted by the analytics firm Morning Consult, showed that 47% of participants preferred Trump compared to 45% for Harris. This poll was conducted on 4,001 registered voters, with a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
