"Hezbollah" Holds Funeral for Muhammad Qassem and Abbas Sarour in Aita Ash-Shab

"Hezbollah" and a large crowd of resistance supporters held a funeral procession for Muhammad Hussein Qassem (Hadi) and Abbas Ahmed Sarour (Sajid) at the zero point of the international border with Palestine in the town of Aita Ash-Shab. The event featured a massive gathering that included MP Hussein Jashi from the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, Abdullah Nasser, head of Hezbollah’s first Mount Amel region, religious scholars, personalities, and the families of martyrs, as well as large crowds filling the town square and its streets. After the arrival of the coffins at the town square, a special tribute ceremony was held with music played by the Imam Mahdi Scouts. A group of fighters from the "Islamic Resistance" carried the coffins, which were wrapped in Hezbollah flags and adorned with floral wreaths. A pledge of "loyalty and commitment to continue the path of resistance and martyrs" was made, followed by Sheikh Muhammad Sarour performing prayers over the bodies before the funeral procession moved towards the martyrs' cemetery. The procession was led by ambulances from the Islamic Health Authority’s civil defense, followed by scout teams and crowds chanting mourning hymns and revolutionary slogans, denouncing America and Israel, and supporting Gaza, Palestine, and the resistance.

During the ceremony, MP Jashi highlighted that "the American Pentagon announced yesterday that the amphibious ship 'Wasp' is heading to the Mediterranean Sea to be ready for the evacuation of American citizens in the event of a large-scale war in Lebanon. Thus, the treacherous and deceitful American wants to give gravity to Israeli threats to enter Lebanon, especially since last week his envoy Hochstein failed to pressure Lebanon to stop the northern front, and he also wants to continue with the Israeli enemy to intimidate the Lebanese about invasion and similar scenarios."

He added, addressing "the Americans and their followers": "Neither threats nor intimidation will deter us, and know that no one in this world can prevent us from fulfilling our religious, moral, and humanitarian duty to support our oppressed people in Gaza, and we will not retreat from this stance no matter the sacrifices involved."

Jashi continued, "From Aita Ash-Shab, the mother of pride, we tell the cowardly Zionists: in 2006, you could not enter Aita despite 33 days of aggression, and today you threaten to enter Lebanon. If you had the capability, wouldn't it be better to return your settlers to their settlements and provide them with safety? If the enemy’s army can enter Lebanon, why does it enter northern settlements hidden and in fear of the resistance’s strikes and power?"

He concluded: "If this enemy were to make a mad decision to invade, it should know that the crowds preparing to enter our land will become legitimate targets for the brave resistors, their tanks and vehicles will burn with officers and soldiers inside, and they will be coffins before reaching the border with Lebanon."
