Mohammed bin Rashid: The UAE has Achieved a Global Position in Space Technology

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the State, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, affirmed that the UAE, under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has quickly established a prominent global position in the field of space science and technology. This ambitious vision aims to cement this status among the ranks of leading countries in space exploration, relying on the efforts and capabilities of its qualified national workforce and its youth who know no limits.

This statement came during a meeting attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airline Group, along with the team from the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, led by Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Centre's Board of Directors, and Amer Saeed Al Gafri, Assistant Director General for Space Engineering, along with astronauts Nora Al Matrooshi, the first Emirati female astronaut, and Mohammed Al Mulla. The meeting took place at the Al Ittihad House in Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid praised the efforts of the team at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre and their significant contributions, which greatly impact the UAE's growing position in the field of space technology. He emphasized the necessity of continuing work and intensifying efforts to achieve more accomplishments, both in this field and in other technology domains, which are now responsible for shaping the future. He highlighted the considerable impact of space science and research in finding solutions to improve the quality of life on Earth and help humanity overcome many challenges.
