Lapid Attacks Ben Gvir ... The Latter Calls for Armed Defense

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid commented today, Sunday, on the stabbing attack in Holon, which resulted in the deaths of two Israelis, on his account on the X platform, stating that the failure lies with Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. Yair Lapid said: "This morning. A painful and difficult attack in Holon in which two civilians were killed by a despicable terrorist. Our hearts ache, sending condolences to the families and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured." He added: "There is no minister who has failed completely more than Itamar Ben Gvir. Since taking office, our streets have been flooded with murders, crime, and blasts." He continued: "By all measures, personal safety in police incidents is at its lowest levels ever. The only thing he does is interviews, tricks, and provocations from morning to night."

For his part, Ben Gvir, at the site of the stabbing in Holon, stated: "Our war is not only against Iran but also here in the streets. And this is exactly why we armed the people of Israel, with over 150,000 gun licenses last year." He added, "We have opened hundreds of reserve courses for 8 months, fortified the police, and we are also working in the prisons to deter these terrorists." Ben Gvir praised the police officers who neutralized the attacker, saying, "It could have been a much larger disaster, but our police officers have the experience and training." He added: "Citizens, carry weapons. We have not only armed emergency rooms, but it saves lives."
