Title: Israel Begins Jamming GPS System to Neutralize Threats

An Israeli media outlet disclosed that the military has started jamming the Global Positioning System (GPS) in the Tel Aviv area to neutralize threats. This action resembles previous measures taken when Iran launched a barrage of missiles and drones in response to the bombing of its consulate in Damascus last April.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the initiation of GPS jamming has raised fears of an imminent Iranian attack, similar to an event four months ago, which was followed by an Iranian response involving the firing of 300 missiles and drones at Israel.

The Israeli newspaper also mentioned that four months ago, the Israeli army announced its commencement of GPS jamming "to neutralize threats." It noted that this morning, against the backdrop of threats from Tehran and Hezbollah in response to assassinations, there were reports of malfunctions in the Waze application, which incorrectly displayed a location in central Israel as being in Beirut.

The report indicated that the Iranian response to the assassination of high-ranking officials at the Iranian consulate in Damascus occurred nine days later. Additionally, on Sunday morning, residents in central Israel reported GPS system disruptions, echoing previous incidents.
