President General Joseph Aoun chaired a meeting this afternoon at the Baabda Palace, attended by Army Commander General Rudolf Haykal, head of the negotiating delegation Ambassador Simon Karam, and military officers from the negotiation team.
The meeting focused on assessing discussions from the negotiation sessions held in Washington on May 29 and June 2 and 3 with both the American and Israeli sides at the Pentagon and the U.S. Department of State.
President Aoun provided Ambassador Karam and the delegation of officers with necessary directives concerning the next meeting scheduled to take place in the U.S. capital during the week beginning June 22.
