Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi emphasized that Lebanon should not be a pawn for any international or regional agreement, nor a place to settle scores, but rather a message of peace. He expressed hope that efforts between the United States, Lebanon, and Israel would bear fruit, leading to an agreement that keeps the specter of war away from the country.
During his Sunday sermon from Diman, Al-Rahi stated: "We pray today for the people of Diman, hoping that God will preserve this town, whose name is tied to the Maronite Patriarchate. Lebanon has much potential but needs men and women who sincerely carry the nation’s message. We must pray to God to raise up honest statesmen who work for the common good."
