Sources informed 'Al Arabiya' and 'Al Hadath' on Thursday that an Iraqi militia called 'Awliya al-Dam' has claimed responsibility for carrying out attacks against Jordan, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
The sources elaborated that the militia includes advisors from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
According to the sources, the militia targeted Jordan and Kuwait with drones launched from Iraqi territory.
It was revealed that Iranian-backed Iraqi factions have enhanced their capabilities with advanced drones, forming cells of 10 individuals responsible for drone launches.
The sources added that these factions have attacked Arab nations under the pretense of targeting American bases.
The Kuwaiti army announced material damage at the Abdali border crossing following an attack by hostile drones on Thursday, according to an official statement.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, stated in the statement that the Abdali border crossing was subjected to a hostile drone attack on Thursday afternoon, resulting in material damage, without any human injuries reported.
The Colonel added that specialized teams immediately responded to the incident, taking necessary measures to secure the site in coordination with relevant authorities.
The Jordanian military also declared on Thursday that it intercepted four missiles and six drones launched by Iran over the kingdom's territory in the last 24 hours, explained by Tehran as retaliatory actions against U.S. strikes, with no casualties or material damage reported.
The statement cited a military source saying, "Air defenses intercepted and destroyed three missiles Thursday morning, while the fourth fell in an uninhabited area."
Moreover, the six drones launched on Wednesday evening were intercepted and destroyed without causing "any human injuries or material losses," according to the statement.
