American News Anchor Unexpectedly Falls Asleep Live On Air

American news anchor Dominique Dillon never anticipated that a fleeting moment in her work would turn into an embarrassing situation widely shared on social media.

While delivering the broadcast live, Dillon laughed spontaneously and pinched her right arm under the desk to confirm what was happening. To her surprise, she realized she had indeed fallen asleep during the live broadcast in front of the cameras.

Her colleague didn't miss the humorous opportunity and quipped, "Sleeping Beauty is here!" to which she responded sarcastically, "What are you talking about?".

The cause of Dillon’s exhaustion traced back to the previous night when her husband worked a double shift, preventing him from helping with putting their young daughter to bed, who resisted sleep for a long time.

Ultimately, Dillon couldn't get to bed until around 11 PM, and just two and a half hours later, the alarm signaled the start of a new workday.

After the segment ended and the program went to a commercial break, Dillon was taken aback when the producer excitedly informed her, "You're going viral now," as the clip of her moment of slumber started circulating on social media.

While the clip became a topic of conversation and laughter, Dillon admitted feeling extremely embarrassed by the incident, which made her the talk of the audience in just a few minutes.
