Antonina Bloskarieva, Deputy Director of Clinical Operations at the Central Scientific Research Institute of Consumer Rights Protection in Russia, warned about the risks of heart attacks and strokes after recovery from COVID-19, according to Russia Today. The expert stated in an interview with the Russian news agency TASS: "The infection from COVID-19 can cause irreversible changes in the lungs (fibrosis), myocardial infarction, and stroke, which can leave the patient disabled."
