Iraq has signed an agreement with a consortium led by the Norwegian company "Scatec" to build a solar power project with a capacity of 525 megawatts, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Oil on Thursday. The consortium also includes the Egyptian construction company Orascom and the private Iraqi company Bilal. Iraqi Minister of Oil Ihsan Abdul Jabbar revealed that the value of the deal is approximately $500 million, adding that the government aims to produce 7,500 megawatts of clean energy before 2023.
