Beijing: We Are Negotiating with Washington on the Cancellation of Tariffs and Sanctions

Chinese Vice Premier Liu He stated today, Saturday, that the country is negotiating the cancellation of tariffs and sanctions with the United States. Liu's remarks were published after he held a remote meeting with U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai to discuss trade relations between the world's two largest economies, according to Xinhua News Agency. Beijing also anticipated a positive shift in Washington's policy, especially with the change in administration and Biden's cancellation of a series of executive orders from his predecessor, Donald Trump; however, the relationship between the two countries has not seen significant change.
