Boom in Restaurant and Clothing Businesses in the UAE 2021

A report by Mastercard revealed that restaurant and clothing businesses in the UAE experienced a boom in 2021, with small companies specializing in home furnishings performing well compared to larger firms. The report noted that sales of small and medium-sized enterprises were 20 percentage points lower than those of their larger counterparts at the peak of the pandemic; however, spending levels recovered in 2021. Total sales for small and medium-sized enterprises increased by 4.5% by August, compared to the same period in 2020.
