Sky News reported on a meeting that will bring together the foreign ministers of the United States and Egypt. The U.S. State Department announced on Thursday that Secretary Antony Blinken will host his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, on November 8 and 9 for a strategic dialogue between the United States and Egypt.
The U.S. State Department stated in a press release that the Egyptian and American delegations will discuss international and regional issues, cooperation in security, and other areas. The statement confirmed that the meeting will also include senior officials from the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Department of Defense (Pentagon).
Earlier, the U.S. Secretary of State held discussions with his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo last May and also met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest.
