Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Affirms Deep Relations with the African Continent

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, confirmed the historical depth of relations between the United Arab Emirates and African countries, emphasizing the importance of developing these relations at all levels and across various fields and sectors. This aims to establish a strategic partnership that benefits both sides and positively impacts the lives of the peoples, rooted in the commonalities between the people of the UAE and those of the African continent.

His Highness expressed his happiness with the African participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and the advanced level demonstrated by the participating African nations' pavilions. He highlighted Africa's cultural richness, the civilizational diversity among the continent's countries, and the promising opportunities available in commercial, investment, industrial, agricultural, and developmental sectors. He reiterated the UAE's eagerness to enhance developmental relations within these vital sectors, in alignment with the stature, capabilities, and abundant resources of African countries.

This was stated during a visit by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, to the African 'Kibulan' Food Hall. This visit underscores His Highness's commitment to exploring some of the pavilions and corridors of the exhibition filled with activities and events that represent the cultures of countries and continents worldwide, part of the grand civilizational event hosted by Dubai under the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future," which features pavilions from 192 countries alongside important institutions, organizations, and international bodies.

Expo 2020 Dubai serves as a global cultural platform that enables countries to showcase their civilizations, heritage, and diverse customs, as well as present their latest ideas and future projects. This contributes to achieving the ultimate goal that Dubai and the UAE aim for by hosting the international exhibition, which is to foster the convergence and cooperation of peoples for a better future for humanity.
