Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, has responded to one of the requests made by coach Xavi Hernandez, which he insisted upon before signing with the Catalan club. According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," Barcelona has already reached an agreement with Dr. Ricard Bruna to lead the medical services at the club this season. The Spanish publication noted that Xavi insisted on hiring Bruna before taking on his coaching role to mitigate the injury epidemic that has plagued the team in recent seasons, which players have severely suffered from this year. "Sport" explained that the agreement between Barcelona and Bruna will be officially announced next Thursday, after the first team returns from Saudi Arabia. It mentioned that Bruna will begin working with the first team at Barcelona immediately, with the primary goal of ensuring Ansu Fati and Pedri are fully ready after recovering from their injuries.
