Musk Apologizes for Tesla Mobile App Outage and Confirms Service Restoration

Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that the company's mobile app is back online after a server outage earlier prevented many owners from connecting to their vehicles. This was in response to a tweet from a Tesla Model 3 owner who reported a server error while trying to connect to his car via the app on iOS in Seoul, South Korea. The website "Electrek" was the first to report the outage. Musk stated, "We apologize... We will take steps to ensure this does not happen again." Additionally, the site "Downdetector," which tracks service outages, revealed that around 500 users reported errors around 21:40 GMT. The site tracks outages by compiling reports from various sources, including user-reported errors on its platform. By 02:20 GMT, the number of reports had decreased to just over 60.
